| Depart in the morning aboard the 65-foot, state-of-the-art catamaran with comfortable, indoor seating and outside viewing decks and cruise through Lynn Canal, the continent's longest and deepest glacial fjord. Marine life abounds in these waters, and a fully-narrated wildlife cruise will highlight the morning voyage. You'll see hanging glaciers, nesting bald eagles, harbor seals, and humpback or killer whales. We'll stop at a rookery where hundreds of Steller sea lions gather in the summer to breed and pup. Upon arrival at Auke Bay, board our motorcoach for a tour of Juneau's highlights, including the state capitol building, the governor's mansion and downtown Juneau. Spend your afternoon having lunch, shopping and exploring the downtown district. Our bus meets you downtown for a trip to breathtaking Mendenhall Glacier before returning you to Auke Bay for your evening cruise back to Haines. A light dinner is served underway. |

| The 4 hour trip begins with a half hour Nature tour through the "Valley of the Eagles" to the Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve, where you will board a 18 foot inflatable raft. Your professional guide will inform you about the natural history of the area, Chilkat Indian Heritage, and Alaskan stories. Each fall thousands of Bald Eagles gather along the Chilkat Valley to feast on late runs of spawning salmon. During the summer months a large number of these eagles remain in the valley with its stunning mountain peaks and icy blue glaciers. Your guide is an expert in spotting wildlife and you may observe brown bears, black bears, wolves, trumpeter swans and moose.
