Build in 1898 during the Klondike Gold Rush this narrow gauge railroad is an international Historic Civil Engineering Landmark. The tracks are climbing nearly 3000 feet in just 20 Miles and featuring grades of up to 3.9 %, breathtaking cliff-hanging turns of 16 degrees, two tunnels and numerous bridges. Experience the breathtaking panorama of mountains, glaciers, gorges, waterfalls and historic sites from the comfort of a vintage parlor car. An unique, authentic and historical experience.
SKS#02 Summit Excursion. A 3.5-hour fully narrated roundtrip from Skagway climbs 2.865 feet in just 20 miles following some of the North's most beautiful terrain and the original route of stampeders in 1898.
SKS#03 Lake Bennett Steam Adventure. An 8.5-hour tour with the legendary Engine No73 on a Baldwin Steam Locomotive. The 80-Mile roundtrip includes Lake Bennett – end of the Chilcoot Trail. A 2-hour layover provides opportunities to walk with a Park Historican and explore the areas artifacts. Lunch included
